I have a question on lighting i have just read a artical on using blue LED lights during the 12hrs of that would be the normally be dark aparantly plants photosynthesize but the flowering is not affected more growth and produce more sugars(approx 20-40watts per 1000 watts of reg light is suggested) has any one tried this and if so what were the results
Hey Jeff,
You may want to go beyond ivy and make a better living REALLY gardening. Just a suggestion.

We live in a dark log cabin with LED christmas lights on all the time. I wondered why my ivy plants seemed so happy and thriving. I didn’t think LEDs gave off enough light. Now we know. Nice.
yeah, really.
note the focus on the fact that LED lights give off less heat, a key give-away to many a grow-house!
"the sheer delight of fresh ‘herbs’"
A priceless press release, Ash.
They can’t make this "stuff" up.
Time for me to go "weed" the garden!
