Thanks to you, our readers, who voted Ashvegas BEST BLOG, BEST WEBSITE and BEST SOCIAL MEDIA PERSONALITY (@Ashevegas) in the recent Mountain Xpress Best of WNC poll, and thanks to the generosity of the Asheville Grown Business Alliance, we’ve got a big, big surprise.

From NOW through Wednesday, November 14, ALL Ashvegas readers can receive a FREE 2012 Go Local card from Hip Replacements as a thank-you from Ashvegas and a gift from Asheville Grown.

The 2012 Go Local card is good through January 31, and allows all kinds of discounts at local businesses including select vendors of the Big Crafty (Christmas shopping!), the Fine Arts Theatre, the Magnetic Field, the Driplator, Malaprop’s, Asheville Pizza, Clingman Cafe, and pretty much a laundry list of some of Asheville’s best indie restaurants, shops and businesses. To pick up your own card, just visit Hip Replacements downtown at 72 N. Lexington,  and say “I’m an Ashvegas reader,” and a 2012 card is yours. If you see Kip or Franzi, please thank them for their generous support of Ashvegas and Asheville independent business.
