As Hurricane Rita coverage continues to rise above fever pitch, we’ll be watching several former WLOSers who have since moved on but now sit in prime positions to cover the roaring storm.

Will the Weather Channel get Mike Bettis out from behind the desk and into Texas to cover the storm. So far this year, he’s been all over Florida. There are several other Weather Channel reporters who have come through Ashvegas – we’ll be watching them, too.

We’ve blogged about Davis whereabouts and history previously. Now, it seems she’s poised to cover another big story.
