From my column in today’s Asheville Citizen-Times:

Stewart O’Shields didn’t get to see much music from last weekend’s annual Warren Haynes Christmas jam.

That’s because the Asheville photographer was busy rounding up big-name artists like Ivan Neville, Steve Miller and Greg Allman for individual photo shoots.
And at the conclusion of an eight-hour jam that ended after 3 a.m. Sunday, O’Shields had to be at the top of his game to get a group shot of all the musicians who participated.

All the long hours went toward a project dubbed the Warren Haynes Presents the Christmas Jam Portrait Photography Project. It’s a unique collaboration between two Asheville natives and longtime friends who are combining their talents.
