The new City of Asheville pilot program started on Thursday.

You can pay for this spot at this meter on Haywood Street using your smartphone.

Learn more about the program here.

    I tried it today.

    Really wish it was better.

The application doesn’t refresh, so you have to physically force close the program and reopen it to find out how much time you have left on your meter.

Furthermore, if you put in the maximum amount of 2 hours, it doesn’t allow you to extend your time… so you’re back to using quarters if you hope to keep your spot for say an extra hour after that.

It’s nice, but could be improved.
