Our recent look at property records got us wondering – what about Ashvegas mayoral candidates Terry Bellamy and Joe Dunn? What are they worth on paper?

Well, let’s take a look. It’s hard to know for sure, but I think these values are good for putting them in the right ballpark.

Here are the Bellamys, of West Asheville. Terry works for a non-profit:

Owner1: LAMONT BELLAMY & TERRY M
Real Property Value: $142,500.00
Status: Active
Deferral Value: $0.00
Acres: 0.26
Exemption: $0.00
Taxable Value: $142,500.00
Description: EVELAKE DR

The Bellamys also own a 2002 Honda MC (whatever that is), a Dodge Durango and a white Lincoln 4S Town Car Signature valued at $19,260 (may I just say that Terry, the town car looks great on you, babe.)

Here are the Dunns: Joe Dunn is a retired dentist and landlord who owns quite a bit of property around town, of south Asheville:

Owner1: JOSEPH C DUNN
Owner2: SANDRA C DUNN
Real Property Value: $264,200.00
Personal Value: $5,295.00
Status: Active
Deferral Value: $0.00
Acres: 0.48
Exemption: $0.00
Taxable Value: $269,495.00
Description: 17 GARDENWOOD LN

Again, we’re not 100 percent positive these are the candidates’ personal homes, but we think we’re pretty darn close. What does this say about the candidates? What does this portend about the upcoming vote? We don’t know. We’re just putting it out there.

If I am not mistaken, a Honda MC is an ATV, or 4-wheeler, which ever you want to call it. In any way, you probably won’t see her crusing down the street on that. And what vehicles do the Dunns own?
