standard_paper1Run Riot LLC, recently purchased the former Standard Paper building on Banks Avenue in Asheville’s hot South Slope neighborhood. The massive, 24,000-square-foot building has been vacant for years, but sits in the heart of the South Slope, which will soon be home to several new bars and restaurants (Buxton Hill Barbecue, King Daddy’s Chicken and Waffles, Beer City Pretzels, Burial Beer Co., just to name a few.)

The building sold for $1.1 million.

I incorrectly reported earlier that blacksmith and artist Zack Noble had purchased the building. Noble says he’s done consulting work for Run Riot, but he didn’t purchase the building.
