Loyal reader AshVegasFan wrote me to ask about Coach Roy coming to town. Here’s what I know:

The event will be held May 25 at the Grove Park Inn beginning with a 5:30 reception, a 7 p.m. dinner and a 7:30 p.m. program. The cost is $100 per person, with UNC General Alumni Association members getting a $25 discount.

Proceeds will benefit UNC’s Carolina Covenant, that allows eligible students from historically low-income families to attend the university and graduate without debt.

As far as I know, the event is open to the public. You have to register. Call 919-962-6705 or go to alumni.unc.edu/clubs/roywilliamsday. There’s limited seating
