A number of the 200 or so mommy bloggers who were in Asheville over the weekend for the first ever Type-A Mom Conference have been writing about their experience.

There’s a good recap here and another here, for example. And check out the cool photos one mom blogger shot during conference’s photo walk.

Snippet from the Frugal in Virginia blog:

Throughout the weekend , a few major recurring themes seemed to emerge as speakers shared and questions were asked. So, to recap the weekend’s content briefly, here you go:

1.  It’s often better to have people quietly whisper your name than shout it.

2.  There’s room for all Mom Bloggers to be successful, but it won’t happen if we attack one another.  So celebrate the success of other mom bloggers because it helps out the whole community.

3.  Build your product, then promote it.

4.  This is just the beginning for Mom Bloggers.  Our blogs are just our launch pads.  Begin to think, “What’s next?”
