Want to party with Ashvegas gays, lesbians and transgendered peoples? Then come on out Saturday (Oct. 14) to Pridefest 2006.

The party will be set up in the parking lot of Westgate Shopping Center, near the Earth Fare grocery there. It sounds like a good time. Here’s a look at some of the performers scheduled:

Kat Williams on stage: 12:15 – 1 p.m.
Kat is a local gal. Y’all know her music.

Cantaria on stage: 1:30 – 2:15 p.m.
Cantaria is a voluntary, not for profit community chorus, organized to provide an opportunity for gay and gay-supportive men to sing together.

Ginny Wilder on stage: 2:45 – 3:30
She’s an Ashvegas gal, too. Scroll down and you’ll see her pic in an earlier post.

Seth Boulton and the Dream Machine n stage: 4:00 – 4:45
Seth Boulton and the Dream Machine is an alternative modern rock band from the Charlotte area.
Divine MAGgees on stage: 5:30 – 6:15
After blazing their way through New England in 2002 and 2003 (while based out of Rockland, ME), this progressive, electrified duo – Cregan Montague on acoustic and electric fiddles and Danielle Tibedo on acoustic and electric guitars – spent the year of 2004 based in Athens, Georgia, before settling in Asheville in 2005.

Someone’s Sister on stage: 6:45 – 7:30
“Someone’s Sister” the acoustic duo comprised of Georgia Winfree and Katherine Jones released their début album “Hand Me Downs” at the end of 2004.
Inner Voice on stage: 8:00 – 8:45
Inner Voice is a unique musical experience of five guys based out of Miami, Florida. Their music is an uplifting combination of vocal harmonies, ethnic percussion, magical guitars, Rumi-esque poems, self-realization and a sprinkling of the entire spectrum of human emotions.

Natalie Productions on stage: 9:15 – 10:00
Natalie Productions has a wide-ranging show cast made up of some of the best female impersonators in the Southeast. The company is owned and operated by Neal Huntley (Natalie Smalls) in Asheville. You can catch their shows at O.Henry’s.
