The Asheville Scene, a local social club, will throw a “Great Scott” Gatsby Party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the New French Bar to raise money for children’s education programs at North Carolina Stage Company. The event will feature the band The Wiyos and everybody’s supposed to dress up in 1920s costumes. Tickets are $20 per person. Reservations can be made by e-mailing
