I was told yesterday, at the Brevard site, that the new Tunnel Road restaurant WILL have a liquor license.
Oh man that makes me SO happy! And it’s near my work! Yipee!
Ooooooooh, better still if it’s true!
.You must mean the old LoneStar on Tunnel rd.
Two things…You must mean the old LoneStar on Tunnel rd. I can’t recall a Sagebrush on Tunnel. Thing two, the Don Papas on hendersonville Rd. is also owned by the same people.
Don Papas on H’ville Road and Veracruz on Patton Ave. are owned by the same family and are also really good. But there is a special place in my heart for P&B.
Oh happy happy joy joy!
let’s hope this location gets a liquor license so they can serve margaritas. the one on brevard rd is beer/wine only.
How did I miss the Hendersonville location? Just goes to show you that I don’t get out much. Thanks for the correction, everybody!
Ash:
They have another location in Hendersonville, but great to see them expand. They are the best Mexican in town.
Actually, the original Papas and Beer is located in Hendersonville. My wife and I are glad that the Brevard location opened up a year or so ago, it’s hands-down the best Mexican in the Asheville area.
Ooooh…great news! Love that place. There’s also a Papas & Beer in Hendersonville.
