I’m blogging to you from Washington, D.C., so please forgive the typos and hasty posts. I’m on one of those Sheraton lobby computers where you feed your dollar bills into a machine and it starts counting down your time.

I’m here for the wedding of a friend of a friend. It should be quite the show. The groom is from a well-to-do family who made lots of money selling jewelry. He’s Jewish. The bride is a wispy blonde who looks good in long, pink trenchcoats. It’s a match made in heaven.

The wedding is tommorrow. Not much going on here in Old Town, Alexandria, tonite. Ate at the Royal Restaurant (I’ll post photos upon my return to Ashvegas), a diner that claims it’s been around since 1904. The crab cakes were fresh and tasty. Thanks, Chesapeake Bay!

The trip was not the best. As a travel day goes, I’d rank it below average. I’ve had worse. Like the time in Bosnia when the fog was so bad we couldn’t see to land.
