Great news on both fronts from loyal reader Marc at Orbit DVD/TV Eye Emporium:

Couple of quick notes. First, I love Japanese culture and especially films and feel that my stores can help. So from Tuesday 3/22 until Monday 4/4, $1 from every Japanese dvd or video game rented will be donated to Mercy Corps for help in short-term and long term aid. This includes the Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation, Kurosawa films, Miyazaki films, anime and literally hundreds and hundreds others.

Second, Asheville the Movie is FINALLY being released on dvd on Tuesday, March 22nd. It is now called Anywhere USA and I believe it has been available on demand for awhile now, but we will have copies for rent and for sale like other locally shot and produced films.
