Orange Peel Events, an extension of one of Asheville’s hottest downtown music venues, and Highland Brewing, one of the city’s most popular craft breweries, are continuing a concert series this year at the brewery’s outdoor space known as The Meadow.

Through Orange Peel Events, the Orange Peel’s outdoor concert company, three hot acts have been booked and announced. Primus, posted last week for a May 24 appearance, sold out the day tickets went on sale. Tickets for the other two shows – St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Mac DeMarco – go on sale to the public Friday. Those shows are scheduled for May 5 and May 21, respectively.

For the St. Paul and the Broken Bones show, there’s an offer for a local pre-sale for anyone who downloads the Orange Peel smartphone app. Users who get the app will get a code to be able to buy tickets Thursday before they go on sale Friday.

Liz Whalen of the Orange Peel says more announcements for shows at The Meadow are coming soon. “We are excited about this collaboration and the opportunity to present some larger artists for outdoor shows in the warmer months,” she says.
