Hey Weinhaus, I’ll take Sarah’s case! 😛
Even the worst year of Cold Mountain is better than nearly every other winter ale I’ve ever tried. If anyone decides to get a case and they don’t like it, get in touch with me – I’ll take it off your hands!
The problem with reserving a case, though, is you can’t be sure the new year’s batch will live up to its glory days (I’m looking at you, ’06, ’07, and ’08). Last year’s was just not…special. It was good, but it didn’t taste like Christmas, which is how I like it.
Exactly Sarah. While yes it is a good beer and has been a great beer, why not try something new and just as spectacular? With so many breweries in Asheville and nearby I know you’d like to try something different.
Just a shameless plug to mention that the Weinhaus takes a Cold Mountain reservation list year-round for anybody that wants first dibs on cases or kegs. Anyone can call in (828.254.6453) and get their name added.
