Nice to see Spruce Pine get a meth alternative.
Jason, have you heard any updates on the project that Nate Allen and the owner of 5 Walnut were supposedly doing here in Asheville, down at that property under the Jeff Bowen Bridge? I heard stories of bad mold problems in the building after Greenworks tried to move in . . . did that put a permanent hold on the plans for a restaurant down there?
Drive by the site sometime. This will answer your question.
How a place like that treads water in a little po-dunk town like Spruce Pine is beyond me.
Being pretty close to the Parkway helps, I’m sure, especially if you’re not inclined to stop at Little Switzerland on the stretch between Boone and Asheville.
But it’s a genuinely good restaurant, and Spruce Pine could do with one or two nice things.
In my opinion Nate is the best chef in the WNC area, and I can’t wait to go to the bar. If the drinks are even close to as good as his cooking it will be a great spot!
OMG! I just can’t wait… it’s surely going to be delicious! (Home-Simpson drooooooooooool!)
