Capital Events, LLC, a consortium of local business owners, has announced that Capital Club of Asheville, a premier downtown rooftop event venue at 82 Patton Avenue, will open for business March 10, 2013. Long awaited, the 3,200 square foot indoor-outdoor, urban space features breathtaking views of both downtown and the surrounding mountains. Management began taking event reservations December 15.
Capital Club guests will enjoy a 1,500 square foot banquet hall and 200 square foot lounge with open access to the 1,300 square foot tiled rooftop patio which offers impressive sunset views as well as downtown’s prime location for fireworks viewing.
The new space is designed to accommodate up to 200 guests, and will be available for a host of events including corporate functions, breakfast meetings, luncheons, and dinners during the week. Weddings, receptions and special occasions are slated for the weekends. The space will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 12 midnight daily.
A myriad of related amenities and services will be available at the Capital Club. Those include onsite reserved parking for up to 75 vehicles; balcony access; security; rentals of tables, chairs, linens; audio-visual; Wi-Fi; alcohol permitting; and event management services. Capital Club will offer a direct relationship with preferred caterers. Event space rental rates will range from $500 – $2500 depending on the size of the party, season, and day of the week. Event services will be charged additionally.
Capital Events, LLC partner Joe Scott will serve as the general manager of Capital Club of Asheville. “We really did our homework before moving forward with the event space,” he said. “We consulted with the very best caterers and event planners in the region. They all said the same things and asked the same questions – ‘Is it available? When will it be open?’ Word is leaking out and we’re already receiving inquiries weekly.”
