Aerialists in the back yard

From loyal reader Kelly:

Hey-

Short notice I know, don’t know if you think your readers might be interested, but there is a new aerial arts studio in town, opening up to the public this Friday (Jan 1st) from 2p-6p. They current offer classes on single static trapeze, aerial silks and sling (through Asheville Aerial Arts) and up until a few weeks ago those classes were offered in a backyard in Montford, so the indoor space is pretty exciting for all of us.

This Friday will be an informal, public open house, with light snacks, demos/impromptu performances, and opportunity for people to try out the equipment for themselves.  Donations suggested, but no set fee to attend.  Something cool to do to start off 2010, if you’re not just completely hung over and hating life.
