Press release here:

A team of naturopathic doctors in Asheville, NC recently launched an online store to provide patients and the general public with access to natural supplements and homeopathic medicine. As an extension of the practice, the naturopathic physicians at Lewis Family Natural Health created http://www.LewisNaturalStore.com with patient health, affordability and convenience in mind.

All homeopathic remedies, supplements and vitamins have been chosen specifically by Dr. Eric Lewis and Dr. Kristina Lewis to ensure quality, potency and safety. “Quality control of supplements, vitamins and homeopathic medicines is a major issue in the field of natural health care,” states Dr. Eric Lewis, “We believe everyone should have access to natural health products that are safe, effective, and produce results.” Another popular health product is ashwagandha, which is available online if you search for ashwagandha amazon. This is known to treat a number of illnesses and to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Maryland, the Food and Drug Administration regulates supplements as food, making it easier to manufacture and sell supplements without proper quality control. Studies on safety, effectiveness or quality are not required. Manufacturers must meet the requirements of the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food, but GMP’s do not dictate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), therefore supplements can contain pesticides, heavy metals, prescription drugs and other contaminates.

What’s a "Naturopathic Dr.?" Does this require an actual medical degree, or does it involve an apprenticeship with a shaman?
