ASHEVILLE, NC –  Former Congressman Charles H. Taylor announced today  that the  19th annual Holiday dinner will be held on Saturday, December 11th at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C. It is the largest, sit-down political dinner in the state of North Carolina and an annual holiday tradition in Western North Carolina.

The featured speakers will be N. C. Sen. Phil Berger, leader of the North Carolina State Senate, and N.C. Rep. Thom Tillis, who is the Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives.   This is the first time in over 110 years that both houses of the North Carolina General Assembly have been under Republican control, and the first time the entire leadership team has been featured together at such a function.

The dinner will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Ball Room and will be preceded by a reception at 5:00 pm in the Wilson Suite.  Taylor urges interested voters to participate in this historical event at such an important time for lawmakers in North Carolina and the United States.

Those who attend will be able to meet and hear some of North Carolina’s conservative leaders talk about their plans to work together to help re-build the state’s economy.
