Mountain Oasis update: Panels, exhibitions and more

The inaugural Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit, happeningFriday, October 25-Sunday, October 27 throughout downtown Asheville, is just under a month away. With the addition of Cut CopyAC Entertainment is ready to share the festival’s schedule (included below) and more details on a wide range of other activities for festival attendees and the Asheville community to enjoy.

The Apothecary will play host to TRASH_AUDIO Synth Event 13 on Sunday, October 27 from 1:00-7:00pm. The event will showcase over a dozen gear manufacturers followed by a night of intimate, live performances curated by the TRASH_AUDIO collective (Alessandro Cortini, Justin McGrath, Surachai and Richard Devine).

Also at The ApothecarySound & Vision Art Show, an exhibition pairing audio and visual works from up-and-coming local artists Gabriel Schaffer, Andy Herod, Gus Cutty and Jotti Mara, will be open throughout the weekend with a special reception Saturday, October 26 from 3:00-6:00pm where fans can meet the artists and experience live painting and performances.

Johnny Mann and Scott Pederson, two of the brilliant minds behind Waves Audio, have teamed up with Mountain Oasis to bring you Mixing with Waves, a hands-on opportunity to interact with Waves products and see the software live in action at Echo Mountain Studios on Saturday, October 26 from1:00-3:00pm.

Each event is free of charge and open to the public. Full details can be found at www.mountainoasisfestival.com. More activities, including a craft beer experience, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The activities above come in addition to the previously announced panels at the Diana Wortham Theatre – Inventors’ Roundtable, a discussion featuring Paul Vo, Richard Devine, Tony Rolando and Richard Devine, and an Artist Spotlight: An Interview with Gary Numan, conducted by Electronic Musician‘s Geary Yelton. Panels are free of charge and open to Mountain Oasis pass and ticket holders only.
