Here’s some reaction to my post about how WLOS blew off any mention of the fact that Michael “Brownie” Brown, head of FEMA, had resigned Monday. No mention at all during their 6 p.m. broadcast.

From Master control:
-I believe you are mistaken. I remember them mentioning the resignation of Brown.

My reply
-No, I believe you are mistaken. That’s because we at Ashvegas have ultra screen capture technology, and because we watch more closely that 90 percent of the “sheeple” out there. We also know because an Ashvegas insider called WLOS during yesterday’s 6 p.m. broadcast and spoke to a young woman who identified herself as an “associate producer.” Said youngster admitted she knew nothing about it, and began making excuses. “Maybe we had it at 5.” “We’ll probably have something at 11.”

Have you people ever heard of Google News? And by the way, the “something at 11” is crap on Monday nights, because Monday night football pushes the late broadcast to late, late, or early morning.

Then there’s this, Master control, from Former producer:

-A big part of the problem our dear Ashe, is most of the producers who put the shows together have never worked at another television news department. Most don’t even watch other news, much less have any experience elsewhere. Many have sat in the same seat for more than a decade. YAWN. The new people hired behind the scenes come straight out of college. No experience outside Asheville equals narrow vision and stale tv.

My reply
Thanks for that. It was exactly the experience described to us by the Ashvegas insider who called up in disgust yesterday.
