More cuts to the WNC economy

WLOS reported Monday night that truck part manufacturer Con/Met was laying off about 80 workers.

And today, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported that the Canton paper mill, now known as Evergreen Packaging, was planning to lay off 1,000 workers for a week.
