Press release here from loyal reader Crissa:

Moog Music would like to thank local residents for voting Moogfest as Asheville’s “Best Live Local Music Event” in the 2011 Mountain Xpress Best of WNC readers poll. In gratitude for the hometown love, Moog has pulled some strings to get Ashevillians a sweet discount on Moogfest weekend passes.

On Wednesday, October 12th, residents of Buncombe County as well as surrounding counties will be able to purchase 3-day passes to Moogfest at the rolled back ticket price of $149.50.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Asheville Civic Center box office starting at 10 am today. Residents may buy two (2) tickets and must present a valid photo ID at time of purchase.

Moog Music synthesizers and other electronic musical instruments are designed and lovingly handcrafted in the Moog factory in downtown Asheville, NC. Moog Music and its customers carry on the legacy of Dr. Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer and Founder of Moog Music Inc.
