Press release here:

Multiverse Asheville will host Sirius.B and The Extraordinary Contraptions at Asheville Music Hall November 3 for a costumed, historically-themed event celebrating the end of Daylight Savings Time

From Victorian to Renaissance, Medieval to post-modern, guests at The Time Travelers’ Masquerade will don the fashions of their chosen era to celebrate the winding-back of the clocks at 2 AM!  Asheville Face & Body Painting will be in-attendance to provide hand-painted masks.

Tickets for the event are $8 in-advance and $10 the day of the show.  The masquerade is an 18+ event, with a $2 surcharge at the door for attendees who are under 21.

Sirius.B is the 2012 winner of Mountain Xpress’ Best of WNC “Favorite Local Band” category.  With a distinctive sound they describe as “Absurdist Gypsy Folk Funk Punk,” Sirius.B is a regular presence at downtown venues and special functions in Asheville nightlife.  The Time Travelers’ Masquerade will be Sirius.B’s final 2012 performance.

The Extraordinary Contraptions are a steampunk-themed rock group from Atlanta.  They are a headlining band at several conventions around the country, including Dragon*Con and AnachroCon, where they regularly draw crowds in the thousands.

Multiverse is a fan organization dedicated to organizing and supporting geek-culture events at the local level. A growing social brand, Multiverse produces other annual functions such as GeekOut (a multimedia popular arts convention in May), and the Child’s Play Charity Gala, in addition to sponsoring and supporting dozens of other events.
