Josephine Taylor came to Ashvegas on Thursday to pick up a sweet check for $77,777 after buying a scratch-off ticket in Morganton. Taylor bought the ticket Wednesday at Quality Mart on N.C. 18 in Morganton and said that was the first time she played the new North Carolina lottery. She won in the Ruby Red 7’s game.

Damn I’m jealous. And don’t forget – the lottery folks have said we’ll be playing Powerball in North Carolina by July 1.
