This is cool. Laurey Masterton is such a great local businesswoman, and really connected to her community. From the Asheville Citizen-Times:

Question: Tell me about the jam sessions.

Answer: The first and third Tuesdays will be old-time music, and second and fourth will be ukulele. The Asheville ukulele club is running the ukulele jam. Anyone who wants to come and play in the old-time or ukulele jam is welcome. People should come and listen to music or play. I’m intending to do spoken word on Monday nights eventually, and right now, we have cooking classes on Wednesdays. I’m not going to schedule the other nights. Tuesdays will be music night, and Wednesday is cooking classes.

You just gotta luv our Laurey Masterton. Quite a hard working gal and always on the go. I love that she is an out gay woman, proud of herself and her community. She does a lot of good for the folks who work at her shop and others too. Yes, she is rich in a lot of different ways and I admire that. Go gurrl. Don’t postpone joy!
