launch_trampoline_park_asheville_2016A new trampoline park in south Asheville that has been in the works for nearly a year is nearing completion. Launch Trampoline Park, at 4 Walden Dr. in south Asheville, is installing trampolines with the help of Dunlap Construction Company now and plans to open in March.

A second trampoline park was also planned for south Asheville last year, but the developer dropped plans and blamed difficulty in working with the city of Asheville’s development office for a slow response to questions.

Here’s the original press release, which was circulated in March 2015:

(Warwick, RI) Launch Franchising, LLC. is pleased to announce a new franchise agreement that will bring Launch Trampoline Park to Asheville, NC. The new park will be owned and operated by Bret and Jennifer Pacheco. Launch Trampoline Park, Asheville will be the ninth park added to the Launch roster.

Launch Trampoline Park provides kids of all ages with endless fun of bouncing on trampolines, playing dodgeball in mid-air or falling into a massive foam pit. Launch Trampoline Park, Asheville will be located in Buncombe County, and is centrally located to serve towns as far as Hendersonville, Mars Hill, Waynesville and Black Mountain. The building will feature over 30,000 square feet of space and have about 13,000 square feet dedicated to trampolines.

“We are very excited to bring the first trampoline park to the Asheville area,” said franchisees Bret and Jennifer Pacheco. “Launch encourages family wellness through entertaining fitness, and we are happy to get the community jumping!”
“Jennifer and Brett have great focus and passion for helping their local community and the Launch team can’t wait to help them bring an indoor trampoline park to the Asheville area,” stated Robert Arnold, president and co-owner of Launch Franchising, LLC.

The park will feature open jump, trampoline dodgeball, basketball dunking lanes, foam pit and a dedicated “kids court” for jumpers under 42 inches. Launch Trampoline Park, Asheville will be available for birthday parties, fundraisers, fitness classes, toddler time, teen nights, private events and more! The park has a full-redemption arcade, Launch Cafe and private party rooms. Additionally, Launch Trampoline Park has its own mascot – “Joey,” a 7-foot tall green kangaroo mascot – who is in charge of fun at the park, assisting with birthdays and special events.

We occasionally go to the two trampoline parks down in Greenville. They are super fun, clean and organized, but prepare yourself to drop a bit of dough! $10/$15 per kid/per hour. Hopefully, they won’t charge a supervisory adult for the privilege of sitting there not jumping….

Word to the wise; 1 hour is more than enough to tire out the average kid. They give cost incentives for staying longer, but we found that is usually overkill.
