This was one of the coldest – and hottest – shows I’ve ever seen at the Grey Eagle. With a story before every song, and with his master guitar skills, Justin Townes Earle totally captivated me. With the temperature outside hovering near the single digits, and the temp inside the Grey Eagle not far off that, Earle hit the stage and warmed everyone up with stories of his woman troubles and drug addiction. One of the best shows I’ve seen all year.
