I gave my buck to a great charity. I then gave the sandwich to a homeless guy who was hungry. I did my good deeds for the day and didn't have to eat that nasty, bland sandwich.
I think delivery is free if you order ONE sandwich. And they deliver it so fast it's crazy. But not the ones they are giving away. They gave away the sandwiches today, and customers donated a dollar to a good cause. It was a nice little promotion.
Kudos to JimmyJohn's for doing this for a great charity. Shame on some company by trying to get a cheap deal and not following the guidelines that were announced before the event. It sounds like an employee made a simple mistake and anyone that plans company lunches should know that a business needs ample warning to cater an event of that magnitude especially when it would be pretty obvious that they would be slammed by offering such a great deal.
Way to go JJ. You goal was to do something great for a charity and offer a great deal to the public. You came through on both accounts!!! Don't let one lousy company ruin what was a great idea!
Fran, don't you think that's sort of reasonable that they try to draw a line somewhere when they're offering $1 sandwiches? I'm guessing that they're pretty slammed today. I mean feeding 56 people for $56 seems like a good enough deal to pick it up. I can see why it's a little silly to ask each person to pick theirs up though.
Our company ordered 56 $1 subs. The employee taking the order said if we had at least 25 subs, delivery would be free. The manager refused to honor his employees incorrect information. He said each employee would have to come in and pick up their own sub one at a time. We cancelled our order and will NEVER go there for lunch or have our company lunches of over 100 people catered from there. We will go somewhere else and make sure everyone is aware of the terrible customer service we received.
Full sized subs?
I will be there!
I was told it was dine-in only, limit one per customer…
No delivery, TJ. In-store purchase only. But your dollar will go to a fantastic organization!
Does this apply to delivery too? I wonder
