   Please: didn’t they also tell us the end of the world was coming. He should be telling his congregation not to panic and be polite. Smile and let that 80 year old lady cut in line.

   well… Ralph Sexton and Matt Mittan are quite unimpeachable sources, yes?

   You don’t kthen they benefit from scaring their respective, overlapping audiences, do you?

   Because I believe they do.

   Hell, I would believe Lesley Greotsch about real estate values before either one of those dolts about anything.

   i have been told that Sexton told his congregation Sunday that there would be another shortage, worse than that last, because gas was going to be diverted to Atlanta. also, i heard that Matt Mattain is basically saying the same thing.

   I heard there is a run on BREAD, MILK, and EGGS. Better get out and buy some incase I need to make French Toast sometime in the next year.

   Six loafs of bread
   Three dozen eggs
   Four gallons of milk

   This a.m. I fueled up at a Wilco Hess station and only had to wait behind a single car. The Ingles across from the office is selling fuel and there appears to be no lines (as of 1:30 p.m.).

   i believe that same story notes that only 1 in 7 stations in charlotte have gasoline, far less favorable than here. how long can the paris of the south outrank the queen city on that?

    yes, bcw, i think rumor-mongering absolutely helped get us into this mess, and is something i’m guilty of participating in. i think i have a pretty small impact on people’s behaviors, and i also want people to be alert, aware.

    isn’t the underground ‘word’, fueled further by the media, part of the reason we got into this mess? if people wouldn’t spread dire predictions prematurely, would people be as apt to make a run on the pumps again? what’s your take on it, Ash?
