    Captain,

Del would be in a word, Awesome, he is so underated.

Mos Def would be a great performer as well.

Those Koreans are just horrible for starting up businesses where no one else would even dare. I'm done.

I grew up in NYC in the 80's, and I can understand his reasoning behind writing that. I am not saying it is "right", I'm just saying that the racial tension between blacks & koreans was very VERY real. Is it racist? Just as much as being followed around a store because of your skin color and choice of dress is.

So a racist comes to the orange peel and it's OK with you guys? Have you ever listened to some of his lyrics.

Every time I want to go get a fucking brew
I gotta go down to the store with the two
    Oriental one-penny-counting motherfuckers;
They make a nigger mad enough to cause a little ruckus.
Thinking every brother in the world’s out to take,
So they watch every damn move that I make.
They hope I don’t pull out a Gat, try to rob
Their funky little store but, bitch, I got a job.
So don’t follow me up and down your market
Or your little chop suey ass will be a target
    Of a nationwide boycott.
Juice with the people, that’s what the boy got.
So pay respect to the black fist
Or we’ll burn your store right down to a crisp.
    And then we’ll see ya…
‘Cause you can’t turn the ghetto into black Korea.
—-"Black Korea" by Ice Cube, from the 1991 album, Death Certificate.

As a Korean American who lives in Asheville I'm honestly appalled that nobody has brought this up.

    Dear Cap'n Sensible,

Why you hatin'? Do you not know that if you don't like someone's music, you don't have to listen to them?

Sure, Ice Cube may not be the angry young man he was 20 years ago when he and Del started, but he is still a rap legend and worthy of your respect even you if prefer your beats more Funkee.

Plus, it's been a couple years since your Homosapian hero has played Asheville.

In the words of Ice Cube, "Check Yo Self Fo Yo Wreck Yo Self.":

Please show you are able to have some sense.

    Winning.

Yeah, right…More like: "Ice Cube does it up 'Daddy Daycare' style". Iced Cube has been irrelevant since he left NWA. Bring Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and The Hieroglyphics crew, in place of his lame older cousin, Iced Cubed.
