GO OBAMA!!!!
Gordon, thanks. Joe is a cameraman for WLOS. I met him recently, and he’s a nice guy.
Judgeyall, Hillary did talk about more than the military. I’m guessing that because North Carolina is such a military hub, with big bases in Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Cherry Point and Goldsboro, as well as a Coast Guard base in Elizabeth City, that she’s going for the biggest bang for the buck by focusing on what she would do for the military. Not to mention all the National Guard men and women that have been called up over the last five years.
Hey Jason — to heck with politics,
What about Roy Williams day?
Any info?
It’s May 25 at Grove Park — but do you know if anyone can attend?
It was very disappointing that this event wasn’t held in a bigger arena; it might have looked better to the press to have people waiting outside the doors, but people who really wanted to be there could have all fit in the Civic Center.
Any reason she focused on the strengthing our military in Asheville? I would think healthcare and the economy would be bigger issues for the mountains.
Did she talk about anything else?
Ash,
This guy went to the event, too. I thought you might want to see his blog:

I have the National Anthem recorded, but I haven’t had much of a chance to listen back to anything I captured yesterday. More will be coming soon.
The guy on the left is a retired military official – didn’t catch his name. The guy on the right is Gen. Hugh Shelton – now retired – a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. And a North Carolina native.
Who are the stiffs on either side of her?
