An update from Mrs. Hyatt’s Music House on Facebook about an upcoming fundraiser:

Mrs. Hyatt’s Music House is having their opener event in the 2013 Fundraising season this coming Sunday, February 10th at the Leicester VFW, 626 New Leicester HWY.

We will have a Chili & Cornbread Cook-off, there will pickin’ and the House Band (100 Proof) will entertain as well.

We will be discussing and planning the upcoming Battle of the Bands – Unplugged.

A decades-long gathering place for local musicians playing bluegrass and mountain music, the “music house” of 95-year-old Neila Hyatt was sold by a family member, and supporters seek funds to secure a new site.
