galifianakis_nys3_2014There may not be a hotter actor this summer than Zach Galifianakis, who just finished filming a big Hollywood movie here in Asheville. Today, news broke that Galifianakis is working with fellow comedian Louis C.K. on a new television show called Baskets.

From Deadline via vanityfair:

In a world constrained by corporate interests and the homogenization of society, one man in Bakersfield, California dares to follow his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo. Baskets follows Chip Baskets’ (Galifianakis) pursuit of his dream, against all odds, to be a respected clown.

Galifianakis spoke briefly about the new television show a couple of weeks ago at NYS3, an acting studio in Woodfin. Galifianakis expressly asked listeners not to say anything about the new television show after he described it. You can read what else Galifianakis talked about in that interview here.
