Press release here:

The Holiday Bazaar at French Broad Food Co-op brings local food and gifts to the heart of downtown Asheville. The event, now in its seventh year, allows shoppers to support local farmers and artisans as they celebrate the holidays. The Holiday Bazaar is open Saturday, December 19 from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at 90 Biltmore Avenue.

It may be winter, but you can still make your special holiday meals and party foods from the best, local ingredients, including these, offered at the Bazaar:

·         Breads, cookies, pastries, all natural fruit cakes, and other baked goods, including gluten free options

·         Sorghum molasses, jam, mustard, and other preserves

·         Eggs, cheeses, turkey, pork, lamb, beef, and seafood brought in fresh from the North Carolina coast by a local

·         Fresh vegetables

·         Chocolates, grits, cornmeal, and more certified Appalachian Grown, authentically local foods

In addition to food, you’ll find local gifts and decorations for sale at the Holiday Bazaar:

·         Christmas trees, wreathes, and swags

·         Potted, forced bulbs, ready to bloom indoors in winter

·         Soaps and beauty products

·         Pottery, clothing, and other items handmade by regional artisans

“Come support local farmers—in all seasons,” baker and organizer Aimee Mostwill invites.
