Dick Armey, Chairman of FreedomWorks and Matt Kibbe, President of FreedomWorks, will be in Asheville for the townhall meeting on August 26th, 5-7pm.

Armey is the author of a new book, Give Us Liberty, described as a Tea Party manifesto. Armey is chairman of FreedomWorks, a Tea Party organizing group. This is the first I’ve heard of any town hall-style meetings the group is holding. But Armey is talking a lot about the power of the Tea Party movement, what it means in the context of the greater Republican Party, and what impact it will have on policy, as well as this year’s midterm elections.
