Ashvegas is receiving reports that local TV news anchor Victoria Dunkle and famous Muppet frog Kermit have been seen canoodling around town after last week’s sexy on-screen banter between the two.

The two met on-screen during a promotional tour for a Muppet remake of the classic “Wizard of Oz.” During a 3- to 4-minute interview, Dunkle and the frog were continuously making eyes at one another, according to crew members present. Halfway through the interview, Dunkle ignored Ashanti and Miss Piggy, the other two celebs on tour with the Green One, and spoke directly to Kermit.

Dunkle, a spicy redhead, confessed that she’s carried a torch for the frog since she was a child. Kermit was so excited that he scrambled off the set and reportedly flew to Ashvegas, where he and Dunkle canoodled the weekend away.

Kermit pals say the two snuggled in a corner at the Flying Frog Cafe one night, then hit several watering holes.

“I’ve never seen Victoria with such a glow,” reported one of her gal-pals.

Ever since his early TV days with The Muppet Show and his unforgettable rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” Kermit the Frog has remained among Hollywood’s elite. Along the way, Kermit’s reputation as a playboy has grown. Aside from his on-again, off-again relationship with Miss Piggy, Kermit has been tied to everyone from Raquel Welch to Beyonce.

Turning on-screen chemistry into a real-life connection can be tricky, especially when you’re dealing with Muppets, according to Hollywood relationship counselor Trixie DeHart.

“Victoria, if she wants this relationship to work, is going to have to deal with a lot of Kermit’s baggage.”
