Here’s part of the press release issued Oct. 20 on thunderpigblog:

Earlier this evening, Buncombe County GOP Chair Chad Nesbitt was interviewed by the U.S. Secret Service and the Asheville Police Department. Per the discussion, the contact was initiated in anticipation of former President Bill Clinton’s Thursday visit to Asheville.

The contact was cordial, with the Chair assuring the Secret Service and APD that he nor anyone he knows represents a physical threat to Clinton.  “I think he’s a scoundrel, but I am delighted that the Democratic power structure thinks he’s the proper voice to represent their Party’s understanding of our mountain values,” said Nesbitt.

“I certainly wish him no physical harm, in fact I am delighted he is coming – it could only be better if Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid were coming to prop up Shuler.  He and his party evidently need a nurse, and we all know that Clinton is good at that.  The only thing Mr. Clinton has to fear from me is illumination of his credentials as an unprincipled person and fast talking advocate for the left’s socialistic message of “something for nothing”.

“Per discussion with the agent and officer who met with me, their concerns originated with comments on a Twitter account under my name,” said Nesbitt.  “I do not have and have never had a Twitter account.”

Chad looked like a pig in poo last night on WLOS … the video is available on the WLOS site.

You can tell that he is very pleased with being "newsworthy" on the same day as the former POTUS was in town stumping for Shuler.

I wondered if Chad "did this to himself," but I do not think he is smart enough to have planned so far in advance to report the "fake" account to the Buncombe County Sheriff before posting threatening statements regarding his planned antics yesterday …. and "his twits" were still posting last night.

That is just awesome. All of it. The fake ChadNesbitt twitter account.. Visit from the Secret Service.. even the link off of the twit to the video of Chad's stunt with the street sweeper. While I can't agree on anything politically with Chad, that was a really funny stunt. Excellent job on that Chad. And for some reason, it's the only place I've heard anything about it. What's up with that?

Fun, fun stuff ya'll! PLEASE keep making this wonderful stuff up!

What about the part where Chad says that he's never had a twitter account but then TP links to an account that is apparently Chad's? Is Chad lying?
