Just ran into Randy Flack, Heath Shuler’s campaign spokesman and a lifelong friend of the ex-fooballer trying to upset U.S. Rep. Charles Taylor, at the Apollo Flame restaurant. Flack said he’d just been on the phone with Heath, who was in Haywood County about 12:30 p.m. Flack said Heath is in great spirits and feeling “great” about how the day is going.
