Freeborn, free food, free drink
Council candidate Bryan Freeborn loves to share the food and drink with his supporters. Here’s what he’s doing tonight:

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Volunteer appreciation and election day preparedness dinner. We will be serving dinner and mixing with all of our election day volunteers. If you can volunteer on election day, we encourage you to attend this dinner. We will be passing out the necessary literature for poll workers, and making sure all volunteers have the training and information that they need to make Tuesday, November 8th, a huge success for Asheville.

The Return to Sanity Tour
That’s what Robin Cape is calling her campaign party Tuesday night, though it’s a bit presumptous, don’t you think? A little haughty? Arrogant, even? Rubs me the wrong way a bit. Nonetheless, she and Councilwoman Holly Jones will be celebrating Tuesday night at the Laughing Seed downtown.

Speaking of Holly
She’s a shoe-in as the top vote-getter for council Tuesday night, but the least she could do is slap up one Web update during election season. She hasn’t. Her web site still features her post telling everyone she’s decided to run for re-election. C’mon, Holly, you can do better than that.
