Diamond Brand, Western North Carolina’s leading outdoor retailer, announced today that it is teaming up with one of the area’s leading beer makers to offer WNC outdoor enthusiasts a unique experience at Highland Brewing Company’s outdoor gathering spot – “The Meadow.”

On Saturday, August 17, Diamond Brand will host some of the outdoor industry’s most popular companies for an outside demo where consumers will have the opportunity to see and try the latest and greatest offerings from names like Mountain Hardwear, Eagles Nest Outfitters, Osprey Packs, Astral Buoyancy and more. Attendees will also be given exclusive opportunities to purchase discounted gear from Diamond Brand Outdoors and Frugal Backpacker. While perusing all the hot new outdoor gear, attendees will be treated to musical entertainment from Dave Desmelik (4-6 p.m.) and Buncombe Turnpike (6-8 p.m.). In addition, Buncombe Turnpike will be hosting a release party for its new CD at the event. Adding to the fun, Smash Box Food Truck and a Hot Dog cart will provide food for purchase at the event, and Highland Brewing will offer attendees the chance to purchase some of their favorite frothy elixirs.

Diamond Brand will offer door prizes and other cool giveaways throughout the day. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public and takes place from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Attendees won’t want to miss the unveiling of several never-before-seen parody videos from Frugal Backpacker at the event. In addition to the music and outdoor demos, disc golf, cornhole and other cool activities for kids will be available for hours of family fun.

The first 200 guests to RSVP on Diamond Brand’s Facebook page will receive a free gift from Diamond Brand. For more information on the event contact Sarah Merrell at [email protected] or visit www.diamondbrand.com.
