Construction crews demolished the building that sat right across the street from St. Lawrence Basilica in Ashvegas on Tuesdya night. We witnessed the demolition, but were caught camera-less. So we stopped by Wednesday night to check out the aftermath. Here’s what remains. Rubble. We scored a sweet block of that art deco glass block you see in so many of the older buildings around Ashvegas, and the local teevee news was urging people to stop by and pick up a brick as a souvenir. The church, which owns the now-demolished building, will use the space for parking once crews clean up the felled buiding and haul it off to the landfill.
