Ashvegas has put out the call for everybody to be on the lookout for George Clooney, who is going to be making a movie all around us – shooting in Statesville and down in Clemson and who knows where else. We’re sure he’ll show up in town here to party. So if you see him, tell us.

Meantime, if you want to be in his movie, here’s this:

There will be a casting call for “Leatherheads” a movie starring George Clooney and Renee Zellweger on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Greenville Tech-Barton Campus, 506 S. Pleasantburg Drive. People are needed as background extra in the movie, which is a romantic comedy about football in the 1920s. Those interested need to bring a picture that doesn’t need to be returned. Filing for the movie is expected to begin in February.
