Lots of folks are watching Asheville’s baseball prodigy Cameron Maybin closely. He was part of a high-profile trade that sent him from the Detroit Tigers to the Florida Marlins, who sent him down to get some more experience.

Here’s a mention on a fantasy baseball site:

Cameron Maybin went 0-for-5 and struck out two more times for Double-A Carolina on Saturday.
Maybe he’ll get a chance in June anyway, but it’s more obvious than ever that Maybin isn’t ready for the majors. He’s fanned a whopping 33 times in 21 games for Carolina. He’s hitting a respectable .240/.367/.413 anyway, but major league pitchers would be eating him alive.
