We knew that Ashvegas’ legion of fans would come through for us. We have eyes and ears all over town, folks. If you’ll scroll down, you’ll see our post from the weekend, where we asked if anybody knew anything about NBA stars in town visiting the Biltmore Estate for the weekend, ’cause we heard some dude at a bar blabbin’ about it.

So here’s what e-mailer BettyCrocka has to say:

Ashevegas,

I believe it was Elton Brand. You know that dookie that played 5 or 6 years ago. Yeah he scrubs it these days for that other NBA team in Los Angeles they call the Clippers.

I know this because I saw him with a foxy brown-skinned lady Sunday night at T.G.I. Friday’s right next to the House. It was about 8:30pm.

Good point, spackle. Brand is probably the best performing pro that Duke has produced lately. The only reason we don’t hear about him is becuase he labors in the shadow of the Lakers. The Clippers are building their team around him, and didn’t they go far in the playoffs this year?

Duke hatintg aside, ( duke sucks, I agree) Elton Brand "Scrubs" it for nobody. As much as I hate most dookies, the man was in the running for NBA MVP this year, and has been the premiere star on every team he’s played on since he came into the league five years back. He averaged like 26 points and 12 rebounds a game, which lead all forwards.

So, while duke does suck, and mike dunleavey jr. sucks hard, Elton Brown has somehow become a top tier player.

Don’t player hate, even if said player is from duke.
