Saw him play the National Anthem at McCormick earlier this year. Well, at least he was supposed to play the anthem and Chris Smith introduced as much. Instead, Bobby went on a VERY long rendition of America the Beautiful. After one time through it, with all the accompanying sax flares, he went ahead and played it through again. Excruciating, especially for Chris who was holding the mic while kneeling in front of Bobby for the whole thing.
But that doesn’t compare to the woman who stumbled her way through the song and just started juxtaposing wrong verses. Plus her voice was terrible. Folks, if you’re going to sing the anthem in front of 2,200-plus people… a) make sure you can sing. b) at least take a copy of the lyrics on a sheet if you can’t memorize it.
