Blog Hendersonville, Hendersonville City Guide join forces with Hendersonville Live

Continuing to support all things Hendersonville, Blog Hendersonville and Hendersonville City Guide have merged with Hendersonville Live.

“Hendersonville Live is an experiment in citizen-powered community journalism in Hendersonville, North Carolina. It emerges from discussions among a few Hendersonville residents and the staff at Mountain Xpress. The project aims to use software and platforms readily available on the Internet to give residents the opportunity to take part in media activities that in the past were reserved for newspapers, radio and TV stations.”

It’s unclear to me what the impact of this “merger” is  – content sharing? ad sharing? more? – but it will be fun to watch. Right now, it appears that the Hendersonville City Guide url redirects you to Hendersonville Live, the new online citizen journalism project by Mountain Xpress.
