Band of Horses in Asheville May 1; tickets on sale Friday

Band of Horses are set to play the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on May 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Tickets will be sold at the U.S. Cellular Center box office, as well as ticketmaster.

Band of Horses, featuring Tyler Ramsey of Asheville, is on the move. Pitchfork reports:

Band of Horses are yet another act planning a tour around their upcoming appearances at Coachella. They’ll tour the U.S. before and after the festival, and have also lined up a string of European dates for later in the summer, after Primavera, as Consequence of Sound points out.
Band of Horses released their latest record, Mirage Rock, last fall via Columbia. Watch the video for its track “Knock Knock” after the dates.

Band of Horses also includes Asheville’s Bill Reynolds on bass who previously played with Donna The Buffalo and The Blue Rags.

    One of the best shows I’ve ever seen in Asheville was a stripped down version of Drug Money with just Fisher, Tyler and Bill @ the Bamboo Room. I think a lot of people didn’t even know what they were witnessing in there…really wish I would have recorded that one.
